How do I submit a word?
Tap or drag across adjacent letters on the 4×4 board. Release to submit the word automatically. Words must contain at least four letters and cannot reuse a tile in the same word.
What is the difference between Time Trial and Free Play?
Time Trial is the three-minute daily challenge used for verified community rankings. Free Play uses its own daily board and lets you explore at your own pace.
Why was my word not accepted?
The word may be shorter than four letters, may not be in the game dictionary, or may not be traceable on the current board. In Time Trial, a word also needs to be one of the server-verified solutions for that date.
How are scores and ranks calculated?
Scores are based on the words you find and their lengths. Your rank is based on the percentage of that board’s available words that you found, so boards with different numbers of solutions can still be compared fairly.
Progress and accounts
How do I continue a game later?
Free Play saves your in-progress board on the device when you leave. Daily Time Trial also saves your progress and can be resumed while the current board is still active.
How do I keep my progress across devices?
Sign in and set a public player name. Your scores, badges, streaks, and settings can then be synchronized with your account.
What should I do if my progress is missing?
Check that you are signed in to the same account, then reopen the app with an internet connection. Do not delete the app while troubleshooting, because local progress may be removed with it.
How do I delete my account?
While signed in, open Settings, choose Delete account, and confirm. The app removes your synced account profile, removes your public leaderboard name, clears this device's Word Scramble data, and closes the sign-in account.
